It's the one thing in the book that didn't ring true to me. But other than that, Forman knocked it out of the park.Miriamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16312691761341400873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31002282.post-55440957637599690352009-06-12T16:57:45.599-04:002009-06-12T16:57:45.599-04:00I agree with everything you wrote about If I Stay....I agree with everything you wrote about If I Stay. It is a remarkable book. The medical stuff was very well done. I like what you wrote about the love being palpable. As the tone deaf mother of musicians, I loved the musical subplot, especially as it tied into the ending.

I read it on Sunday and gave it to an eighth grade girl on Wednesday (I kept leaving it home! I guess I don't want to donate it to my library ;-) I can't wait to hear her reaction. I gave it to her when she returned Wintergirls.

The only little detail that niggled at me was the fact that Mia was assigned to read To Kill a Mockingbird in sixth grade. That's a rather sophisticated assignment and happens to be an eighth grade read at the two schools in which I have worked. Minor flaw.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
